English Assessment: City Transport
Reading: The Office Conversation
Mark and Sarah are colleagues in a modern office. They look at the street. Mark is frustrated because the traffic is terrible. He says: “Driving is expensive because gas prices are up. My car is comfortable, but the street is full of traffic.”
Sarah prefers the public system. She says: “The subway is faster than a car. It is crowded (many people), but it is always on time. Look at that bus; it is in a special lane and it is not slow!” They decide that tomorrow they will use the train together.
